Beer Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup rice, uncooked (not instant)
    1/2 cup onion, chopped
    1/2 cup red pepper, chopped
    1/2 cup butter, melted
    16 ounces chicken broth (canned is okay)
    3/4 cup beer
    1/4 teaspoon thyme
Preparation
    Saute onion and pepper in butter until tender.
    Add chicken broth, rice, beer, thyme and salt and pepper to taste.
    Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat.
    Simmer for 30- 40 minutes until liquid is absorbed and rice is done.
