Apricot-Rum Bbq Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1/2 cup minced onion
    1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
    1 cup apricot preserves
    1/2 cup dark rum
    1/2 cup prepared barbecue sauce
    1/4 cup fresh lime juice
    1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Preparation
    Over medium-high heat, saute minced onion and ginger in 1 tablespoon olive oil in a saucepan until soft, about 5 minutes.
    Add rest of ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until thickened.
