Garlicky Basil Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head garlic
    1 (19 ounce) can white kidney beans, drained and rinsed
    1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
    4 teaspoons white wine vinegar or 4 teaspoons cider vinegar
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Preparation
    separate and peel cloves of garlic.
    In saucepan of boiling water, blanch garlic for 1 minute, drain (or if preferred, roast garlic).
    In food processor or blender or bowl, and using a fork, mash garlic, beans, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper until smooth.
    Stir in basil.
