Yellow Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb) package of goya yellow split peas
    4 (14 ounce) cans vegetable broth
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 cup carrot, chopped
    1 cup celery, chopped
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Preparation
    Rinse peas - no need for soaking. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Lower temperature and simmer for 2-3 hours, or until peas and vegetables are tender, adding water if necessary or desired.
