Onion Marmalade (Microwave) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    1 lb red onion (peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes)
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
    1/4 teaspoon thyme
Preparation
    Mix butter and onions in a 2 quart microwave safe casserole dish.
    cook on high 5 minutes, stirring once.
    stir in brown sugar, vinegar and thyme.
    cook on high 5 minutes more.
    let stand 5 minutes.
    can be served warm, room temp or cold.
