Stove-Top Scalloped Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 granny smith apples, peeled and sliced
    1/4 cup butter
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    1/8 teaspoon clove
    1/8 teaspoon ginger
    1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
    Place apples in a nonstick saucepan with the butter. Cook for several minutes. Add sugars, spices and vanilla and continue cooking until apples are tender, about 20-25 minutes over low heat.
