Magic Sauce - Nuoc Mam Chuom - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 cups water
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
1/3 - 1/2 cup fish sauce
3 garlic cloves (optional)
lemons (optional) or lime juice (optional)
chile (optional)

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together and serve.
I normally boil about 1 cup of the water and dissolve the sugar in the hot water to make it easier, then add the other ingredients.
