Knoth'S Barbeque Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 cups sugar
    2 1/2 cups catsup
    1 pint mustard
    2 teaspoons red peppers, ground
    3 teaspoons black pepper
    1/2 pint water
    2 tablespoons salt
    1/2 cup Crisco
    1/2 lb butter
    vinegar
    1/4 pint cornstarch
    1/2 cup sugar
Preparation
    Combine 4 cups sugar, catsup, mustard, red pepper, black pepper, water, salt, Crisco, butter and enough vinegar to make 1 gallon.
    Mix well, cook slowly for one hour, stirring while cooking.
    Add corn starch.
    Add 1/2 cup sugar at last.
