Coconut Butter Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups pecan halves
1 egg white
1 tablespoon water
1 cup flaked coconut
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350.
Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.
Blend flour and salt, stir into creamed mixture.
If dough is soft, chill until firm enough to shape.
With fingers, shape a rounded teaspoonful of dough around each pecan half to form 1\" balls.
Beat egg white with water with a fork.
Dip dough in egg white mixture, then in coconut.
Bake on lightly greased baking sheet 15-18 minutes.
Cookies store well in tightly covered container.
