4 cups rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 pinch salt
4 cups buttermilk
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla
additional butter, for cooking
Preparation

Combine oats, flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
Blend in buttermilk, eggs, melted butter and vanilla and mix well. Let batter stand 30-45 minutes. Batter will thicken; do not blend in additional liquid.
Keat griddle or large skillet over medium heat; butter griddle. Add batter by spoonfuls and cook, turning once, until pancakes are puffed and browned on both sides.
Serve immediately with syrup or fruit.
