Cajun French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup evaporated milk
    4 slices white bread
    1 tablespoon vanilla
    2 tablespoons shortening
Preparation
    Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
    Add milk and stir.
    Dip slice of bread in mixture and put in hot, oiled skillet.
    Cook two at a time, if possible.
    Brown each side.
    When done, add another batch and add shortening.
