Braised Beef Steak Maroon - cooking recipe
Ingredients

Braising liquid
1 onion
4 ounces tomato paste (or puree)
1 3/4 cups beef broth
1/4 cup port wine or 1/4 cup red wine
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon parsley
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
10 drops Tabasco sauce (optional)
Steaks
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
4 braising steaks
Preparation

Put all the ingredients for the braising liquid into a food processor and process until smooth. Leave until ready to use.
Heat oil in large skillet.
In a shallow dish, mix the flour with the salt and pepper. Dredge the steaks in the seasoned flour and fry 2-3 minutes each side.
Carefully pour the liquid over the steaks, cover and turn down heat. Simmer for 90 minutes.
Remove steaks to serving dish and pour sauce over.
Serve and enjoy!
