Green Chili Cheesy Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 tablespoons butter
    4 cups cooked rice, hot
    2 cups sour cream
    1 cup small curd cottage cheese
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    2 (4 ounce) cans chopped green chilies, drained
    2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    In a large skillet, cook onion in butter until translucent.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in rice, sour cream, cottage cheese, salt and pepper.
    Spoon 1/2 the mixture into a 7x11\" baking dish.
    Top with 1/2 the chilies and cheese; repeat.
    Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until heated through.
