Yellow Rice (Begrafnisrys) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup long grain rice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon turmeric
2 cinnamon sticks or 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar (we use yellow sugar, but light brown sugar will do)
1/2 cup seedless raisins or 1/2 cup golden raisin
2 1/4 cups water
Preparation

Mix everything together.
You might want to use less or more water.
Cook the rice in your favourite way, for best results, until soft and loose.
If using cinnamon sticks, remove them before serving.
