Strawberry Basil Sorbet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 1/2 cups water
    2 cups strawberry preserves
    1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
Preparation
    combine water and preserves, bring to a boil, cook 2 minutes until preserves are melted.
    remove from heat, stir in basil and lemon juice.
    pour into a freezer can or an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions.
    spoon into a container and freeze 1 hour until firm.
