Mom'S Banana Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups cake flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 cup shortening or 1/2 cup lard
    1 1/2 cups brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/3 cup mashed ripe banana
    2 ounces baking chocolate, melted and cooled
    3/4 cup buttermilk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
    Cram shortening, add sugar and cream together until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add banana pulp, then melted chocolate.
    Combine milk and vanilla.
    Add dry ingredients alternatly with milk mixture to the creamed mixture, beat well.
    Pour into a greased 9x13 pan, bake at 350F for 45 minutes.
