West Texas Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup ketchup
    1 tablespoon molasses
    1 tablespoon red wine vinegar or 1 tablespoon red wine
    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    2 teaspoons chili powder
    2 teaspoons granulated onion
    2 teaspoons ground black pepper
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    1/2 cup water (optional)
Preparation
    1. In a medium bowl whisk together the ingredients in the order they are listed.
    2. I enjoy using a mortar and pestle to grind the black pepper and cumin fresh but you can use pre-ground pepper and cumin.
    3. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes (optional).
