Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small head leafy lettuce, wahed, dried, torn into bite-sized pieces, and chilled
    1/2 cup light cream
    2 tablespoons malt vinegar (or cider vinegar)
    1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1 hard-cooked egg yolk, sieved
    salt, pepper to taste
    2 tablespoons minced chives
Preparation
    Put lettuce in a salad bowl. Combine remaining ingredients, except chives; pour over lettuce; toss.
    Serve at once garnished with chives.
