Rich Scalloped Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
    3/4 cup half-and-half
    1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    2 tablespoons onions, chopped
    3 pieces whole wheat bread, chopped
    4 teaspoons butter, melted
Preparation
    Combine corn, half and half, cheese, eggs, onion and a dash of pepper in a 1 quart ungreased casserole dish.
    Toss bread and butter together, spread over top. Sprinkle with a bit more cheese if desired.
    Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F or until set in center.
