Apple Cake With Frosting - cooking recipe

CAKE
1 (16 ounce) can apple pie filling
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
FROSTING
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation

CAKE: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Butter a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
In a small bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, combine apple pie filling, sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs; mix well.
Add flour mixture; mix well.
Turn batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 1 hour.
Cool.
FROSTING: Combine cream cheese and butter; cream well.
Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract; mix well.
Frost top of cake.
