Lentil Vegetable Soup With Ham - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 quart chicken broth
    1 small ham hock
    2/3 cup dried lentils
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup chopped carrot
    1/2 cup chopped celery
    1/2 cup chopped ham
    1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except stewed tomatoes, salt and pepper in slow cooker; cover and cook on high 4-6 hours.
    Add tomatoes during last 45 minutes.
    Discard ham hock; season to taste with salt and pepper.
