Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 cup Crisco
    2 tablespoons molasses
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 large eggs
    3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    3/4 cup chopped nuts
    1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0F.
    Grease 15 x 10 or 13 x 9-inch pan.
    In a large bowl, beat brown sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
    Add molasses, vanilla and eggs; blend well.
    Stir in oats, flour, baking soda and salt; blend well.
    Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
    Spread in greased pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0F.
    for 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown and center is set.
    Cool slightly. Cut into bars.
    Serve warm or cool.
