Creole Chicken Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
1/2 lb low-fat kielbasa
1 1/2 cups okra, sliced (fresh or frozen)
1 large onion, chopped
1 large sweet green pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 cups frozen corn
1/4 cup rice
6 cups low sodium chicken broth
15 ounces low-sodium tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3 -4 drops Tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons dried thyme
2 teaspoons dried basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Preparation

Combine ingredients in a 6 quart slow cooker.
Cook on high for 1 hour.
Stir, reduce heat to low and cook 7 - 9 hours.
Remove chicken from the pot, cool slightly.
Chop chicken into bite-sized pieces; return to pot.
