Country Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1/4 ounce) package yeast
    1/4 cup water
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    4 teaspoons sugar
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/3 cup shortening or 1/3 cup lard
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 cup wheat Chex cereal
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375F and grease baking sheet.
    Soften yeast in water.
    Sift flour sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a medium sized bowl.
    Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
    Pour buttermilk over cereal; mix well.
    Add to dry ingredients with yeast mixture.
    Mix just until well-moistened.
    Drop by heaping tablespoons two inches apart on prepared baking sheet.
    Bake 12 to 14 minutes, or until golden.
    Serve warm.
