Cherry Nut Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    2 tablespoons shortening
    2 eggs
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    2 (14 ounce) cans pie cherries, drained
    2 cups flour
    1 cup nuts, chopped
    Sauce
    cherry juice
    3/4 cup sugar
    6 tablespoons flour
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs, salt and baking soda.
    Add cherries, nuts and flour; mix well.
    Put in greased and floured 13x9-inch glass dish.
    Bake at 375\u00b0F for 30 minutes.
    Blend together sauce ingredients.
    Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Pour over cherry pudding.
    Enjoy.
