Balsamic Caramelized Leeks, Carrots, And Celery - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 tablespoons butter
    2 leeks, halved and thinly sliced lengthwise
    3 stalks celery, cut into matchstick-size pieces
    2 carrots, cut into matchstick-size pieces
    3/4 cup vegetable broth
    1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
    3 tablespoons brown sugar
    salt and ground black pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir leeks until softened, about 5 minutes. Add celery, carrots, vegetable broth, and balsamic vinegar; cook and stir until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
    Stir brown sugar into leek mixture until dissolved and mixture is lightly browned, about 5 minutes; season with salt and pepper.
