Baked Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
2 tablespoons diced onion
2 tablespoons diced celery
2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
2 slices tomato
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Coat a baking dish with melted butter and arrange asparagus in a single layer. Sprinkle onion, celery, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, oregano, and thyme over asparagus; top with tomato slices.
Bake in the preheated oven until asparagus is tender and top is golden brown, about 45 minutes.
