Vegan Cheese Sauce - cooking recipe

1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
1 pinch ground cumin, or to taste
1 cup water, or more as needed
2 tablespoons margarine
1 1/2 cups salsa
Preparation

Combine nutritional yeast, flour, paprika, salt, garlic powder, and cumin in a saucepan; add water. Whisk constantly over medium heat until thick and bubbly, about 5 minutes; remove from heat.
Stir margarine into the yeast mixture until melted. Mix in salsa.
Cook and stir over low heat until tomatoes are warmed through, about 5 minutes.
