Costa Del Sol Barbeque Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups ketchup
    7 ounces brown sugar
    1/2 red onion, finely chopped
    1/4 cup honey
    3 1/2 fluid ounces red wine vinegar
    2 ounces butter
    1/2 small red chile pepper, finely chopped, or to taste
    3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
    Combine ketchup, brown sugar, red onion, honey, vinegar, butter, red chile pepper, garlic, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce is slightly thickened, about 20 minutes. Blend with a hand blender until smooth.
