Cocktail A La Louisiane - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups ice
    1 fluid ounce rye whiskey
    3/4 fluid ounce Benedictine(R) liqueur
    3/4 fluid ounce sweet vermouth
    3 dashes aromatic bitters (such as Peychaud's(R))
    1 Maraschino cherry for garnish
Preparation
    Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
    Pour in whiskey, Benedictine, sweet vermouth, anise liqueur and bitters. Cover shaker and shake several times to combine.
    Stir well and strain into a cocktail glass; garnish with a cherry.
