Southwestern Turkey Rub - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (7 ounce) can Mexican salsa (such as Herdez(R)), drained
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    2 teaspoons orange juice
    1/2 navel orange, zested
    1 teaspoon dried thyme
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/8 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
    freshly ground black pepper to taste
Preparation
    Mash drained salsa and butter together in a bowl. Mix in garlic, orange juice, orange zest, thyme, salt, liquid smoke, and pepper.
