Flat Iron Steak Marinade - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) flat iron steak
salt and ground black pepper to taste
3/4 cup cola-flavored carbonated beverage
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

Preparation

Place steak into a casserole dish and season with salt and black pepper.
Whisk cola-flavored beverage, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, chili powder, salt, mustard, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl; pour over steak.
Marinate steak in the refrigerator, at least 1 hour to overnight.
