Charoses - cooking recipe

6 large apples - peeled, cored, and shredded
1/2 pound pecans, very finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon white sugar, or to taste
1 tablespoon red wine, or as needed
Preparation

Stir shredded apples, pecans, cinnamon, and sugar together in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Mix in red wine as needed to help the mixture hold together.
