Egg Nog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs, separated
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. brandy or bourbon whiskey
    1/4 c. rum
    2 c. heavy cream
    cold milk
    whole nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks with sugar until very thick.
    Continue to beat; gradually add brandy and rum.
    Chill. Transfer to punch bowl and gradually stir in the cream and 3 to 4 cups of milk.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Serve in punch cups with grated nutmeg.
    Makes 3 quarts.
