Easy Cheese Fondue - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. Cheddar, Swiss or Jarlsberg cheese (or a combination), shredded (4 c.)
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. dry white wine or apple juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
dash of nutmeg
1 (16 oz.) loaf French or Italian bread, cut in cubes (each with at least one side of crust)
2 medium apples, cored and cut in wedges
1/2 lb. grapes (seedless)
Preparation

Toss cheese with cornstarch to coat.
Place in heavy saucepan over low heat.
Stir from bottom as cheese begins to melt.
When softened and smooth, gradually add wine, stirring vigorously after each addition, until wine is absorbed.
After all wine is added and fondue is creamy, stir in salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Pour into chafing dish, fondue pot or other flameproof serving container.
