Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c sugar
    2 c light corn syrup
    1/2 c real butter
    2 c coffee cream
    few grains salt
    1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar and syrup until very thick (230\u00b0).
    Add butter. Stir.
    Add cream gradually so mixture doesn't stop boiling.
    Cook until firm ball (242\u00b0), stirring constantly.
    Add salt and vanilla. Mix well.
    Pour into well greased sheet pan.
    When cool, cut into small squares and wrap in wax paper.
