Fudge Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt 1/2 cup butter with chocolate over low heat; cool.
    Place remaining butter, sugar and vanilla in bowl.
    Attach bowl and beater.
    Turn to speed 2 (or stir) on electric mixer and mix for 30 seconds, then increase to speed 6 (or cream) for 2 minutes. Reduce to speed 4 (or blend) and add eggs, one at a time, beating 15 seconds after each.
    Stop and scrape bowl.
    Add butter and chocolate.
    Turn to speed 2 and mix for 30 seconds. Reduce to stir speed and add flour, salt and nuts; mix until well blended, about 30 seconds.
    Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Cool in pan and cut into 2 inch squares.
    Makes 2 dozen brownies.
