Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
2 egg yolks
4 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Place sugar and flour in top of double boiler.
Add milk slowly.
Cook in double boiler, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add egg yolks (slightly beaten) and cook 3 minutes longer.
Remove from heat and add butter.
When cool, add vanilla. Pour into a baked crust.
Cover with meringue or whipped cream.
