Ingredients

1 large Spanish or Bermuda onion
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. all-purpose self-rising flour
Preparation

Peel onion and cut into 1/4-inch slices.
Separate into rings. Heat oil one-inch deep to 375\u00b0 in a large skillet.
Beat remaining ingredients together until smooth.
Dip each onion ring into batter.
Fry rings about 2 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
Drain.
