Fruit Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 can pie filling (any flavor)
    1 stick butter, softened
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar
    and baking powder in a bowl.
    Cut butter into this after mixture is crumbly.
    Quickly mix in egg with fork. Put 1/2 of mixture into ungreased 8 or 9-inch pan, then put pie filling
    over
    this,
    then put rest of mixture on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
