Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. melted margarine or butter
    1 can (16 oz.) can sliced peaches
    1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
    1 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour melted butter into a 2-quart baking dish; set aside. Drain peaches, reserving 1/4 cup juice.
    Bring peaches and juice just to a boil; set aside.
    Mix in bowl 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt; mix well.
    Pour over butter in dish. Spoon hot peaches over batter.
    Sprinkle remaining sugar.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes, or until cake tests done.
    Best when served warm.
    Makes about 6 servings.
