Fresh Fridge Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. plain salt
    1 qt. sliced cucumbers
    1 bell pepper, sliced
    1 red pepper, sliced
    2 c. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    2 to 3 small onions, sliced
Preparation
    Bring sugar, vinegar, salt and celery seed to a boil.
    Cool. When liquid is cool, pour over cucumbers, onions and peppers. Cover and marinate in refrigerator at least 24 hours.
    Place mixture into pint jars with tight fitting lids.
    Store in refrigerator.
    Makes 5 pints.
