Au Gratin Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. potatoes (6 medium)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 c. margarine or butter
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c milk
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
    paprika
Preparation
    Prepare and slice potatoes in thin slices, about 4 cups.
    Cook onion in margarine in a 2-quart pan until tender.
    Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is bubbly.
    Remove from heat and stir in milk and 1 1/2 cups of cheese.
    Heat to boiling about 1 minute and remove from heat.
    Place potatoes in ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Pour cheese sauce over potatoes and top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and bread crumbs.
    Sprinkle with paprika.
    Bake, uncovered, in 325\u00b0 oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until done.
