Swiss Steaks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    6 slices eye of round (1 1/2-inches thick)
    1/2 c. thinly sliced onion rings
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 c. pizza sauce
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and pepper.
    Pour into meat.
    Brown onions lightly in hot shortening in large skillet.
    Brown meat.
    Place onions on top of meat.
    Add tomato and pizza sauce.
    Cover and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until tender.
    Serve sauce with meat. Makes 6 servings.
