Wings In Oyster Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. chicken wings (no tips), separated
    1/2 cooking oil
    1 slice ginger root
    1 tsp. dry sherry
    2 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    3 Tbsp. oyster sauce
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Scald wings in boiling water.
    Pat dry.
    Brown in 1/2 c. cooking oil using large skillet.
    Drain oil.
    Add 1 c. water & all spices.
    Simmer with lid on until done (about 10 minutes).
