Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. chopped potatoes
    1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 (17 oz.) can cream-style corn
Preparation
    Combine the water, vegetables and seasonings.
    Simmer 10 minutes.
    Do not drain.
    Make a white sauce with the margarine, flour and milk.
    Add the cheese and corn.
    Heat until cheese is melted but do not boil.
    Add the undrained vegetables and heat to simmering.
    Serve piping hot.
