Texas Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 c. chopped nuts
2/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. melted butter
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Mix caramels and 1/3 cup milk in heavy saucepan and set aside. Mix cake mix, 1/3 cup milk, melted butter and nuts.
Press 3/4 of this mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust.
Spread caramel mixture on, then crumble remaining cake mix over this. Return to oven for 15 minutes longer.
Cook, then cut into squares.
