Hash Brown Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) pkg. hash brown potatoes
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 (16 oz.) carton sour cream
    1 can mushroom soup
    1/2 stick butter
    onion (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add sour cream, soup and cheese.
    Add thawed potatoes and onion.
    Bake for 1 hour in 9 x 13-inch pan or casserole dish at 350\u00b0.
