Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce (bite size pieces)
    1 medium onion, sliced thin
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced thin
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, rinsed with cold water and drained
    1 c. mayonnaise
    3 Tbsp. Romano cheese
Preparation
    Add in layers to a large, glass bowl.
    Chill to serve.
    Can add egg yolks and pepper.
