Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. (1/2 gal.) sweet apple cider
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    1 tsp. whole allspice
    dash of nutmeg
    3 inches stick cinnamon
    1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar (brown or white)
Preparation
    Put cider in large pan.
    Put all the spices in large tea bag, strainer or cheesecloth; boil for 10 to 20 minutes.
    Remove spices.
    Can be stored and reheated later.
    Serve hot with orange slices as floaters.
    Makes about 10 to 16 cups.
